Acceptable Use and AML Policy
Effective date: [EFFECTIVE DATE]
AML Checker exists to help people and businesses avoid high-risk funds. We expect the Service to be used for that purpose only. This policy is part of our Terms of Service.
1. Permitted use
You may use the Service to:
- check a counterparty's wallet before sending or accepting cryptocurrency;
- check your own wallet;
- support your own compliance, risk or due-diligence process.
2. Prohibited use
You must not use the Service to:
- launder money, finance terrorism, commit fraud or support any other crime;
- evade sanctions, or provide services to sanctioned persons or to persons in sanctioned countries and regions;
- test which addresses are flagged in order to move funds in a way that avoids detection;
- harass, stalk, threaten or expose individuals;
- resell, sublicense or offer the Service or its Results as your own product without our written consent;
- send automated or bulk requests, scrape Results, or open several accounts to obtain Free Checks;
- attack, overload or try to gain unauthorized access to the Service.
3. Sanctions
The Service is not available to persons listed on sanctions lists of the United Nations, the European Union, the United Kingdom or the United States, to entities they own or control, or to persons located in countries and regions subject to comprehensive sanctions (see section 3 of our Terms of Service).
4. What we do if we suspect misuse
If we reasonably suspect a breach of this policy, we may:
- suspend or close the account;
- refuse or cancel a payment, or freeze the related Balance where the law requires;
- report the activity to competent authorities and provide information they lawfully request.
Where the law allows, we tell you the reason. Where we close an account without a breach on your side, we refund unused Checks.
5. What we do not do
We do not verify the identity of our users, hold or move their funds, or make decisions about other people's wallets. A Result is information about a public blockchain address; what you do with it is your decision and your responsibility.
6. Reporting
